Welcome aboard!
I guess every blog has to have a purpose. This blog was started as a way for me to list the crap that we kept finding in Zephyr's lockers onboard - all put there by me. As I've grown as a Sailor, I've started to learn what is actually necessary onboard, and I wanted to get rid of the stuff in a manner that made sense. Thus - a website.
But, now I guess the blog is something different. It's a chance to share some of Zephyr's adventures, and our trials, with someone else who might learn something useful from them. It's a place for friends and families to see what we're up to. And, it's a chance to create memories that we can share later.

The boat
S/V Zephyr is a 1981 O H Rodgers design. She's a swing keel, and I believe the last one remaining (if someone else knows of one, please let me know!). She's a good old boat, requires constant attention, and she doesn't get to go to sea nearly as much as I do. But I'm going to fix that over the next few years.
